Mijn ochtendwandeling gaat langs de reeds welbekende weg naar de Piazza Sta Felicita (aan de Ponte Vechio) en de Piazza dei Rossi en vandaar de klim op de Costa San Giorgio

La Casa di Galileo

The exposition held in Villa Bardini (Florence) between July 2016 and July 2017, includes two stories that took place in different times and spaces, but both related to the life and works of Pietro Annigoni. 

The first one is linked to the portrait of Stefania von Kories, an extraordinarily fascinating lady painted by Annigonni in Florence between 1958 and 1959. After its long trip across the world, the canvas is back on the hills of Florence, in the museum named after the great painter.  

The second story is developed around Palmiro Meacci, a figure yet unknown to the public at large. 

Humbly born man, he met Annigoni in 1969 and became his secretary. 

He was consequently introduced to the international scene, and he shared with the master twenty years of unique experiences.

Een tweede tentoonstelling Nero su Nero gaat over een anachronistische groep "Magico Primario"

Een derde tentoonstelling toont de ontwerpen van Roberto Capucci, Roberto Capucci, een Italiaanse modeontwerper. Hij creëerde ongebruikelijke, gebeeldhouwde jurken in originele materialen, betoverde de modewerelden is sinds zijn debuut te zien geweest in shows van de meest getalenteerde engerenommeerde ontwerpers

Nog eventjes verpozen op het terras en in de tuinen van de Villa, met prachtig uitzicht over de stad, en een feestviering met vlaggenwaaiers.

Ik ga lunchen bij een heel leuk familie restaurant, La Peppa Fioraia, in de Via dell'Erta Canini,

vlakbij de Porta San Miniato waar de klim naar San Miniato al Monte aanvangt.

Mijn namiddagwandeling gaat langs de Arno (Oltr'Arno) richting Ponte Vecchio 

Ik wandel terug naar de kerk San Nicolo oltr'Arno 

The church of San Niccolò is one of the oldest in Oltrarno; is located very near to the river Arno and has been severely damaged in both the great floods (1557 and 1966).

The church was built in 12th Century by the monks of the near church of San Miniato al Monte. After a fire in 15th Century, it was rebuilt from the inhabitants of the quarter: the noble families contributed with the side altars, which were ornated with several paintings.
In 16th Century San Niccolò was restored and enriched, with the building of new altars in Vasari-style and of the rose windowon the façade.

The church was damaged during the flood of 1966: it was subsequently fully restored, and during this restoration fragments of frescoes (15th Century) were discovered on the walls.

De toren van San Niccolò, ooit onderdeel van een poort of porta in de voormalige verdedigingsmuren van Florence, bevindt zich nu, geïsoleerd op het plein Giuseppe Poggi, in de wijk Oltrarno, Florence, regio Toscane, Italië. Het portaal werd voor het eerst gebouwd in 1324
